Three things… June 8, 2017

This week my heart is overflowing with gratitude and I’m having difficulty only listing three things that are putting a smile on my face! Some days are just like that, aren’t they? As much as possible, I try to hang onto that feeling, even – or especially – in difficult times. Gratitude has the power to transform your life. I have experienced this time and again.

Anyway, here is my Three Things Thursday list for this week… 🙂

(“Three Things Thursday was created by Emily at Nerd in the Brain and is hosted by Natalie at There She Goes. Three Things Thursday is quite simply a list of three things that have made you happy this week. Your three things can be big or small, anything that makes you laugh or brightens your day!” – from There She Goes)

1. My husband of two and a half years (we’ve been together more than eight years). I don’t know how I got so lucky. He just gets me. And I get him. We have each other’s backs. I love the ever-living daylights out of that man! He could make this list every week because he makes me smile every day.

2. Yarn. I’m grateful for yarn. I’m serious. It makes me so happy!

3. The opportunity to go on business trips with my husband from time to time. For example, we just spent two days and a night in Victoria, BC. It’s the capital of our province, located on Vancouver Island. It takes a two hour ferry ride to get there from Vancouver, and it is so worth it. What a beautiful city! While my husband spent most of the two days there in business meetings, I got to wander around the city, take pictures, window shop, and even do a little writing in a great little cafe called Wild Coffee.

My husband and I love to travel. One of our favourite things to do is to see different cities. We particularly like old cities, for the architecture and history. Western Canada is very new compared with places in the east, like Montreal, Halifax, or Toronto. But Victoria is surprisingly old for this part of the country. It’s full of grand architecture that makes it feel even older than it is.

One of these days, I’m going to post about our trip separately, just so I can show you some more of the photos I took. Photography isn’t one of my strengths, but when you’re surrounded by so much beauty, it’s easy to take good photos!

And these are just three things I am grateful for this Thursday. Thanks for reading! 🙂
